Retail and Residential Paul Newman New Homes Ashlands, Milton Keynes
|
The construction of 8000 square feet of retail floor space amongst a developmentof 264 award winning contemporary homes raised some interesting construction challenges.
The steel framed retail units required traditional reinforced concrete ground floor construction and concrete intermediate floor slabs. Due to the high tolerances of the steel frame system the floor slabs were constructed using a pumped self levelling concrete to great effect.
With close supervision and detailed planning the retail project was completed to a challenging programme whilst still maintaining a very high standard of finish.
