Almost two million people are living with site loss in the UK today – a number of which may suffer from depression or feelings of isolation
This incredible charity work tirelessly to improve the everyday lives of the partially sighted and blind in a number of ways, including through education and research, enabling individuals to enjoy the same freedom of movement and to be able to live their lives as normally as anyone else in our Society.
One of the many ways in which they do this is to train and provide Guide Dogs.
In 2016, less that 2% of the Guide Dogs income came from Statutory funding. The charity are currently responsible for 8000 Guide Dogs in the UK, and it takes approximately £55,000 to support a Guide Dog from birth to retirement!

Following the success of our recent Golf Day Fundraiser we have now raised just over £5,000 which means we have managed to get the ball rolling with the sponsorship of our first puppy, due to be born around December 2018.
We are very excited to announce the name of our first puppy, who will be called ‘Digger’ and look forward to releasing some photographs and a further update on the little one as soon as we can!
